BODY WORLDS

Josh and I managed to hit the Body Worlds exhibit at Science World!

It's the coolest thing I have ever seen! Seeing the insides of a human body made me realize how small we look on the outside but how big we are on the inside! I can't believe that the puzzle inside holds so much mystery, discovery and the unknown. I agree; everyone should see the exhibit because it will show you who you really are.

I took it the next step, where Gunter the scientist dissects and removes the biggest organ that our body has: the skin. It's shocking, scary, and interesting but at the same time it stimulates a curiosity that won't allow your eyes to move off the screen. I guess we can call this science.

It was science that made me look into the eyes of each 'specimen' and wonder who they were. Where did they come from? How did they die? One sure thing I realized is that once the skin is off, we all look alike! You couldn't see wrinkles, scars, skin colour, facial expressions, or body physique; we are all the same. It also felt like the people in the exhibit were finally at peace.

Body Worlds is more then an exhibit; it's a realization that there really is more to science and the human body. You can believe in what you want to, fear what you want to, be what you want to, and express yourself how you want to, but really we are what we want to be. I feel alive, and free, and excited to be here!

Good morning, and its truly a good morning!

I woke up and looked out my window to see a creepy deep fog with the smell of fire in the air!

I love days like today! it makes me feel like I'm waking up in a murder mystery noval with a scary feeling of something is coming for you! But not really!

I can taste the jet fuel but its just over this huge fence! The huge fence that i cant climb unless i have French! ARG again! How often do people speak French in Vancouver? Or even Calgary! I can understand out East! But really!

I think if they judge someone on being French, then they should make everyone with in the company speak it too if they don't already! If they cant catch on then its only fair to let them go!

My Opinion which doesn't matter is they should have a % French and the rest english. Only a % of people in Canada speak French. when working I'm sure at least 2 people can speak French on board. What really bothers me is that some people consider themselves French Qualified. I didn't know West Coast French that they learn, which is a very basic conversation and Air line instructions is fluent French... YUP YUP I'm french qualified too!

Don't get me wrong i have nothing against french people. Or french itself, I have it against the requirement and looking past good future employees! I guess you can say im feeling a little bitter!

In fact I'm sure everyone couldn't stop laughing... I got up as quickly as i can and walked really fast because I was so scared that they we're going to kick me out!!

I guess now i just have the war wounds...

Well I keep laughing when i read my last Blog! WHO am I to say it will be a 'quiet night'. I think my words should of been "it will be a tragic night" because it sure was tragic on many levels. In fact i recall getting into a cab with random strangers that we met on the street. Destination unknown, people unknown, are we going to live or die unknown well clearly I'm alive!

I recall passing out on a so called bed... I think it was just a mattress but who am i to judge! Luckily 4:30am arrived and we vacated the house and realizing that we had no clue where we were.

At least we managed to sleep a few hours before the 6 hours of soccer. I think the tag line for this weekend was "I can't Believe we did that"

Really it took us a day to process what happened and then the famous words would come out.

As night fell it didn't just end the day, it ended our volleyball team 'MEDIC'. I guess we lost gracefully! but it wasn't about winning or loosing it was about the people we met, the laughs we had, and the beer!!! I guess it's time that life dealt us all new cards.

I thought it was great that everyone thought we were medics, but really we were 'FAKES'. Actually, we weren't fakes; we were 'beer' medics. If a team member on the court wanted a sip of beer, they would Holler "MEDIC!" It would be a non-playing team member's duty to run and 'medicate' the injured with a sip of beer.

As i sit back and reflect, thoughts pass by like a speeding highway with an occasional grin. Memories like driving Steve crazy "don't forget about the wind", "the wind" , Michelle totally going for the ball but completely missing it because of the sun, the occasional pro volleyball dive that came from nowhere, and freezing our asses off when it was winter in April. As we would all say "good times, good times" but new beginnings are around the corner for us all.

All i can say now is Good bye to Steve, Ally, Noah, and Murphy. Thank you for the good times.. Best of Luck with your Travels and I wish you all the best.. To the rest of the Medic team lets PARTY!!!

I have seen a few TV series and this is one of the best. From the amazing acting to the funny lines which creates a priceless show. This series can be compared to a book, but instead of saying "you can never put it down" you would say "you can never stop watching". Its a shame that there were only 9 episode in the first season! But at least it left me wondering what is going to happen next!

If i was alive in a different persons body, I would do my best to leave hints. This will allow people to clue in that I'm not really that person but someone else. I know she's doing that but I would really make sure they know.

This show for me is 2 thumbs up...

I managed to have an amazing weekend and spent sometime with new friends and old friends.

We spent some time at Grouse Mountain and enjoyed the fresh powder and a work out of a life time!

Some key visual thing are to look at the chair lift and see if its working? if not, DONT GO DOWN THAT RUN! we ended up half way down the hill and realized that the chair list wasn't working.... HUMMMM luckily an hour and something later, plus the IPHONE (thank god) we made it out! we walked in snow past the knees, Which were shocked to find out that an hours later they opened that chair lift WTF!!!!

Anyways once we got to the top beer and food was on the menu then AMAZING snow! Only problem was patchy foggy spots where you couldn't see the bumps and Moguls in front!

O well we're alive and great memories!! Thanks Nina!!!
