IT"S MY TURN

Yesterday my friends who went to the Air Canada Rouge interviews in Feb received their training E-MAIL!

IT'S MY TURN!!! COME ON ROUGE E-MAIL ME NEXT!!!

I want this job so badly!!!!!!!!

SECURITY and PRE FLIGHT

PART 2 SECURITY AND PRE FLIGHT

So you've checked in and you're bags are gone! now pray to god that they arrive at their destination!
One thing I forgot to mention in my last Blog is that MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS OF WHERE YOU'RE STAYING on a piece of paper and inside your luggage in case something happens. check out my example of what I do!

Finally, once they've give you your boarding pass make sure you always leave it with your passport! A rule I have is my wallet in one pocket, boarding pass and passport in another pocket and my phone in another pocket! This allow myself to be a little more organized and ready if anyone requests something.

* NEVER LEAVE YOUR PASSPORT AND BOARDING PASS IN ANY BAGGY POCKETS*

I say this because sometimes they can fall out or people can pick pocket you easier!

SECURITY

It drives me nuts when people aren't prepared for security! I feel like smacking them with a pay attention stick or get the hell out of the line!

It's simple

Shoes - if metal needs to be removed or like in the USA they always have to be removed

Jackets - have to be removed

Lap tops - they need to be removed from inside of the bag

Belts - they have metal so they need to be removed

Watches - needs to be removed

Liquids - needs to be in the plastic bag and meet the Transport Canada requirement!

METAL - everything needs to be removed!

I don't understand why people are confused, scared, or just plain rude during this process!
READ THE SIGN

Once you've passed security take a second to make sure you have everything! TICKETS, MONEY, PASSPORT!
At this stage of the process I do a time check to make sure I have enough time to purchase duty free, have something to eat, or just walk around. Remember this is when you can relax and get ready to sit down for hours!!!

PRE FLIGHT PREP

I always tell my friends to make sure you have these items before boarding a flight:

1. A bottle of water - so you stay hydrated and the bottle can be refilled during the flight

2. A snack - in case your wanting to snack and not pay for a snack on the plane

3. A sandwich - in case you're hungry at anytime between meals

4. Gum or mints - to save the flight attendants, security, and border guards from your nasty breath

I suggest you have your credit cards ready because most carriers only accept credit cards! Trust me I know from experience that accepting only credit cards benefits both the flight attendants and the passengers!

STAY CALM AND STRESS FREE

It's funny that people always ask me for advice on traveling on a plane! There are a few important things that I do when before and during my travels! I'm going to break this down into different categories so please come back tomorrow to see the rest!

Today's topic will be on the prep before heading to the airport!

Before leaving:

- I make sure I pack everything and anything! This means Double checking and triple checking. I also make sure that I double check the baggage size, weight, and fee's so that THERE ARE NO SURPRISES! I find this step prevents myself from being stressed and pissed off at the fee's if I'm charged!

Remember stay educated!

- Make sure your carry-on luggage is packed and ready. All Laptops have to be take out of the bag, jackets, shoes and all metal needs to be removed including belts, and finally liquids need to follow Transport Canada's Regulations. Transport Canada regulations are published below!

How To Pack your Liquids, Aerosols and Gels

Containers of liquids, aerosols or gels in your carry-on must be 100 ml/100 grams (3.4 oz) or less. All containers must fit in 1 clear, closed, resealable plastic bag no more than 1 litre (1 quart) in capacity. The approximate dimensions of a one litre/quart bag are 15.24 cm by 22.86 cm (6 in. by 9 in.) or 20 cm by 17.5 cm (8 in. by 7 in.).

At the screening point, take your plastic bag out of your carry-on and place it in one of the provided trays. One bag is allowed per passenger.

Any containers over 100 ml should be placed in checked baggage.

Finally before you leave the house you should always say to yourself "Tickets, Money, Passport".

You're probably wondering what I mean by "Tickets, Money, Passport." Well here is the breakdown:

Tickets - Airplane tickets and booking sheets including your travel agents paperwork, Hotel confirmation, reservation confirmation, and everything else that you might need for your trip as in documents. Be Prepared!

Money - Cash, Travellers cheques, credit cards, and wallets! Make sure you never ever pack money in any of your checked baggage! I also suggest traveling with 2 wallets! 1 wallet is for holding important documents and credit cards which can be kept in a safety deposit box. The second wallet is for personal use where you keep enough money to get you through the day!

Passports - Never carry your passport with you when travelling unless it's required. Always keep the passport in a safety deposit box and try to avoid in room safes! Remember to make photocopies of your passports to have as a back. Also in this area I check to make sure I have all my ID's including drivers license.
TICKETS - MONEY- PASSPORT

Remember you're going on Vacation HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! So leave the attitude behind and be prepared for anything to happen including delays and mechanical. An Airplane is like a car, shit happens and at least it's on the ground and not in the air!

I can't tell you how many times I've heard people bitch and complain about the long lines for checking your bags, security, and so on! I can't stress this enough but give yourself time!

MORE TIME = LESS STRESS = HAPPY PASSENGERS!

LESS TIME = STRESS = ANGRY PASSENGERS = FREAK OUT ON FLIGHT ATTENDANTS!!

Time Frames (Remember this is what I think and plan for my flights just so we're all clear)

Gates normally close around an 1 hour before plane departs and this also means no more baggage check either!

Boarding happens between 30 to 40 minutes before departure and this includes pre-boarding too.

You should arrive around 2 hours before you're scheduled departure! This includes time for checking Inn, Baggage drop off, security and last minute goodbyes.

Domestic : at least 1 hour and 30 min
USA: At least 2 hours
International: At least 3 hours

Remember that International LINE UPS tend to be bigger because of the size of the plane, less check in desks, and sometimes there could be more than one flight leaving. Stop you're bitching and wait in line, the plane won't leave with out you!

 So Plan Accordingly!!!

Finally, keep in mind when you check in to not be a dick! The company sets regulations not the employee's! Should you at anytime have an issue with the company then fill out a complaint card and refrain from taking it out on us! Remember we are humans too and mistakes can happen.

Breath - Relax - And Be Respectful! You're Going On Vacation!!
Not like this ass in the video!

YAY 1 YEAR

I've just reached my First year with the big STAR!!!

This song is so amazing!!!

HOME HOME HOME HOME HOME HOME HOME HOME HOME

Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

NOTES FROM MOM AND DAD!

I've recently come across this amazing note from a dad to his son! I think this letter speaks for it self!

It's so amazing that the dad added some humor to releave the stress of coming out! I came out after I went on a $5,000 shopping spree and I was sad because I was dumped by my first BF! Now I dont care!

Here is a second letter that was written after the mother walked in on her son and his BF naked in his room! How embarrasing!!!

"I am pretty buzzed. It's ok :) - ok the smiley is too much the brownies are ready"

The guy also states that his mom went out the next day and bought him a door knob with a lock on it! I think thats super cool of her!!!

Anyways Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!

TO BE TORONTO OR NOT TO BE TORONTO

It's been a few weeks since I've updated on what's happening with me!

As I posted last time, I didn't succeed with the Emirates interview which is fine with me! Funny enought a friend of mine was actually hired from my current company!!! This means VACATION with free accomidations!

As for myself I've been Toronto and back for a job interview. I have such a big feeling that my life will continue in Toronto with Air Canada Rouge. Like I said at the begining of this year this is going to be my year!

MY YEAR MOTHER FUCKERS!

On a different note I`ve been looking at Men`s 2013 Summer Fashion and I`m in love with the Yellow Vest, Jacket, and Shoes! As for the pants I would choose more of a Roman white colour with the pants being fitted a little more. Let me just say there are some that I'm not a fashion person but man there are crazy and I mean crazy fashion idea's! Check out the outfit I love!!!!

I love the colour yellow and this makes me happy!!!

Okay HOMO`s I`m out of here until next time :) today is brought to you by Green Day 'When I Come Around'
